Hi there! Thanks for stopping by to learn a bit about us. I’m Kody, and I’m the guy behind Lake Area Tech. Back in 2009, fresh out of high school at New London-Spicer, I decided to follow my passion for technology and started this company. It was originally called Aasen Tech, and let me tell you—it was a humble beginning. Picture this: me, a card table, a single computer, a basic set of tools, and no clients. Not exactly the stuff of tech empires, but it was enough to get started.
At first, I focused on fixing computers—helping neighbors and small businesses get their tech back on track. But from the very beginning, I wanted this to be more than just a repair shop. I knew the future was digital, and I figured I’d better get online. So, I built my first website… and it was harder than I expected! That experience not only taught me a lot but also inspired me to start offering web design and digital solutions for other small businesses.
Today, Lake Area Tech is so much more than what it was back in 2009. We’ve grown into a full-service IT company with a small team of skilled professionals. Our main office is in the Green Lake Mall in Spicer, MN, and we work with both residential and business clients across the Minnesota area. Whether it’s computer repair, networking, or building sleek, functional websites, we’re here to help you navigate the ever-changing tech world.
